ABOUT ME

I was born and raised in a small village outside Skellefteå in northern Sweden, with joyful creation always close at hand. For me, the central thing about creation is that it remains a place where we are allowed to experiment and let creativity loose.

 

Music is not only an art form but also a language, maybe even the best language? I myself constantly return to vocals in harmonies, where the different notes makes me feel emotions that simply cannot be described in words. I am also particularly enthusiastic about pop music, which with its low threshold makes culture accessible to more people, and isn't that great? In my work as an arranger, I want to bring out the emotions in the music, regardless of whether they are lovely or ugly emotions. In music, everything is allowed and has a place.

 

Between the shifts, I sometimes indulge in my other great passion - textile creation. Knitting, crocheting or embroidering calms my nervous system in a way that few other things do and I believe that there are more people who share that experience with me. In my textile creation, I base my work on the motto that sustainable and comfortable don't have to be boring. On the contrary, these criteria can open up a lot of fun and creative thinking. What's boring is not having something to relate to, but when clothes aren't used because your body has changed, your favorites have worn out or you're forced to choose between looks or comfort. That's my opinion, anyway!
